600px kutsu_CED_2014-page-001The Finnish Institute in Estonia, Creative Estonia, Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Estonia and Tartu Centre of Creative Industries organize a Lunch and Discussion Series at Kino Artis in Tallinn during spring 2014.

 

The purpose of the series is to share best practices in creative economy development, comparing views and experiences as well as getting to know different ways of practice. This will help to build up a network and to promote developing soft landing services for creative entrepreneurs to the international market.
Discussions will start at 11.30 with lunch which will be followed by discussion at 12.00 till 13.30.

Tanel Veenre, artist and designer (April 28)
Tanel Veenre has worked as design and culture ambassador both in independent media (as editor and founder of cultural magazine Muusa 2007-2008) and biggest newspapers. Currently he is professoring in desing faculty in Estonian Academy of Arts and working as a jewellery artist and designer. www.tvjewellery.ee

Sillanrakentajat (bridge builders, www.sillanrakentajat.fi) was a three year programme funded by the European Social Fund (ESF): the profession of agents and managers in creative fields was created, a line of new professionals trained and new working practices developed. 
In her presentation Marit will explain why the training program was created, who were the participants and how is the field looking now. Biggest successes and disappointments. www.agma.fi

0.7 design is a design agency that supports Finnish small and micro-sized companies to find business opportunities abroad, mainly in Japan and Russia. During the seven years of operation, there has been over 100 brands that have reached new markets with 0.7 design’s support. Jenni would love to see further development of agencies in creative businesses – that’s why she wrote a book about her experiences with 0.7 design for others to learn. In the event Jenni will speak about how to run an agency, why agencies are needed and how they can create new business opportunities for creative companies. www.07design.fi
